Bible Great Flood Noah's Ark History Channel Documentary
I really enjoyed that
They talk the whole time about not finding it and ron Wyatt found t
No, he didn't.
The aerial photo was it they have already said it
I consider myself an atheist but I love researching ancient history. It's common knowledge that there was, at one time, something called the Ice Age. As we all know, we are no longer living in an Ice Age because most of the ice covering large portions of North America and Europe is gone. Well, all that ice had to go somewhere and again, as well all know, when ice melts sea levels rise. It is not unreasonable to think that there was a cataclysmic event that cause this ice to melt in a very short amount of time and that ancient cultures retain a memory of this event through oral traditions and myth. That might explain why so many cultures share a flood myth. From the ancient Sumerians and the ancient Hebrews to ancient cultures of Mexico to the ancient Native Americans, a myth of a flood feature prominently in their traditions.
I disagree. If you look at the works of geologist J Harlen Bretz and Randall Carlson, they have some pretty compelling evidence, specifically in and around the area of the The Channeled Scablands in Washington, that there were major catastrophic earth changes due to the melting of portions of the ice caps. Their suggestion is that it was a massive floods. By the way, these geologist are not from a religious organization. I don’t believe cultures such as Sumer or Mexico would necessarily need to exist at the time of a flood in order for them to be aware of it. Cultures often transmit stories, myths, legends and important information through oral traditions. I personally believe that in many instances there is a grain of truth in the stories. If something such as a world wide flood did actually occur I do not think it is unreasonable to think that these cultures handed down this story as a reminder and possibly as a warning. So, if I’m right, that there is a grain of truth in the flood myth of these disparate cultures, the question then becomes - Was it a local flood or a regional flood? One of the most compelling reasons to think that it was a global flood is that so many cultures have a version of a flood myth. Many involve a person being warned and preparing for a flood (Noah, Utnapishtim) others feature teachers emerging from flood waters to bring culture to the inhabitants (the Incan Viracocha, the Babylonian Apkallu, or even the Egyptian sages mentioned in the Edufu building text). Of course this could all be a case of parallel thought on the part of these disparate cultures. However, in my opinion, a reasonable alternative suggestion is that the reason these cultures share similar stories and characters is because something catastrophic, and for the most part global, did indeed occur in the remote past. This event was imprinted so deeply in the human psyche that it was passed down from one generation to the other for millennium in the form of myth and legend.
It is reasonable to assume that local floods happen at different times all over the world, however the glaciers only extended to the approximate location of the current Canadian/US border in the Americas, & Northern Europe/Russia in Eurasia. No where near the Sumerian, ancient Hebrew or Mexican cultures, which in any case all came into existence thousands of years after the last ice age. There is no evidence for a world wide flood.
There wasnt just one.... there was a HANDFUL that did
Only 44000 people have watched this and I would bet that it would be around the same for other in search of or any other old history channel shows. I really kinda sad to people not want to seek knowledge. 😥😫😥
+Neil Clissold history, facts, myths, story's of the past. Ur so bigoted that ur first thought was that I was referring the bible but I was not, knowledge in general is what i was talking about. Grow up and up ur mind past ur own prejudices.
It never happened, so what knowledge are you talking about/ fairy tails?
That's awesome but 5 million out of 7 billion, I'll I'm saying is that it's sad to see so few wanting knowledge. Even if 5% of that 7 billion watched it would still be sad. But I truly do thank u and all the others out there that do what u do. U guys add a little happiness to the world.
True, but some of the other docs on my relatively new and very small channel have garnered well over 200,000 views. If you go over the DocSpot's channel, there are episodes with views well into the millions. It all depends on the subject matter I guess.
Another great well-researched well put together documentary.
Ha Ha haaaaaa! its a documentary on some thing that never happened. So why is there even a documentary.
The bum media has no identity...who they are and definitely what the intentions too be...fit for the initiatives purpose...
Awesomeee! When Elfred Lee stated about the George Hagobean tale about the experience Hagobean an his uncle described in detail how Noah's Ark looked, an was hoasted up to the ladder of the ark to have a better view of the structure inside,my hairs stood up! Wow tht is amazing an I believe that Noah's Ark is still there on Arat, an with all this advance Technology the organization can't send a new expedition to go an find/prove the exstince of this cool biblicial story. RAIDERSSSS OF THE NOAH'SS ARKKK,WOOOOO!
Its pretty hard to find a mythological artifact.
Wait wait, are you telling me that some actually try friggin dowsing rods to find the ark? XD look at 27:50
OK, so I'm gonna say this... I am NOT a "Christian" person, or "religious" with biblic influences, BUT! I really really DO believe that the boat shape on Mount Ararat is the real Noah's ark.
ha ha get of the drugs dude.
these so-called researcher using satelite????? WTH???? So they should know by now that the earth is not flat right? Then why de hell do you still hold on to a book who says it is flat??
How much money has been wasted for this? If that money were used to improve NASA, we would have been ice fishing in europa and probably hook up an jupitarian creature
If all the ice on Earth melted, sea levels would rise a matter of hundreds of feet, never the over 10,000 feet that these various stories are claiming.
Ron Wyatt already found it.
CV...You should see the debunking of that, the local peasants took Ron for a ride and they laughed about how their rickety old truck hauled ancient sea side timbers from long abandoned settlements up the mountain to construct the remains he wanted to find, in order to keep him coming back with his money..its just a myth derived from Deucalion and Pyrrha ark myth that ran as truth prior to our religion..
Please... the amount of times that fraudster has been debunked is beyond a joke. Why do you people still believe him? No, he did not find it.
silly people forget, that the Bible, is NOT a history or text book !
You claim you know better than this guys? hahahaha No kidding! Go tell them they are making the fool of themselves. You are funny :)
Exactly, it's a fairy tale.
What silly nonsense.
Thanks so much for sharing
If it was meant to be found it would have been found
Incredible that in this day and age people are dumb enough to believe in Noah's ark
Keep looking folks spend all your money on money grubbing dishonest TV or mega church preachers as well as to fund trips to search for the Ark.
I want to start a religon that just buys people lunch. Don't be afraid to *#MakeSammichesGreatAgain*!
"Oak"......Genesis 6:14 Make for yourself an ark from resinous wood. You will make compartments in the ark and cover it with tar inside and outside... Genesis 6:22 And Noah did according to all that God had commanded him. He did just so. I this its clear Noah did not build the ark from oak...
Its not a matter of what they imagined he made it out of. its the whole story, it did not and could not have happened. as ice cores and common sense tells us, if it is a recollection of a flood, it was purely a local event, like our floods..I have seen my world flooded many times in my life, but I could not know if the rest of the world flooded at the same time.. and so it was with the myth of noah and his ark, and as it was for Deucalion and Pyrrha on their ark..
LOL What's next? History's Mysteries: The Search For Santa's Workshop?
LOL!!! Noah and his little boat NEVER existed!!!!!!!
Wow what a moron!
It's a Myth Jon, not reality.
It's a scientific FACT that we can't live to the ripe old age of 900, it's also a scientific FACT that no boat that size would ever work. It's also a scientific FACT that the whole story is nonsense. What "scientists" have you been listening to?
No, he can't Nigga. Look up the definition of "scientific fact".
Yes he can Jon, yes he can. He has mainstream science backing him up, what do you have? Nothing but "Can you prove it?" Hey Jon, do you exist?
They publish statements about evolution that can’t be proven but the same people who believe those statements insist that everything in the bible be proven why is that
DNA testing proved we evolved from primates end a story fool.
_"how can evolution be proven"_ Through genetic testing, paleontology, geology, biology, etc etc. _"there is no proof I was brought up believing that there isn’t the proof"_ _"you show me the proof"_ http://www.talkorigins.org/ There is one of the most comprehensive lists of evidence ever compiled. But let's face it, you aren't really interested in learning the facts... you're only aim is to maintain your current misinformed creationist faith.
PB...platypus got your tongue?
JH...With a platypus..
The emergence of pesticide resistance is evolution in action, as shown in the justly famous Harvard/Technion demonstration “evolution on a plate”. So is the delightful Russian experiment of breeding tame foxes. Artificial selection, just as much as natural selection, is evolution in action. Little research is all that is needed. Again, you either ignore the evidence because it doesn't fit your worldview, or you don't understand it. Either way, you're incorrect.
history's real mystery is why anyone still thinks bible tales are "history" at all lol
Wow you actually think hell is a real place/ What a imbecile.
LMAO,HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, ENJOY BURNING IN HELL, SCUMBAG!!!
This documentary tries to be balanced, and I appreciate that. Methinks some of you unbelievers are going to be wetting yourselves on that great and terrible day.
Methinks you are not to smart.
Miles Elder stated: _"Methinks some of you unbelievers are going to be wetting yourselves on that great and terrible day."_ Thinly veiled threats of eternal damnation is nothing but spiritual terrorism. The implication that no punishment is severe enough for those who don't blindly accept your particular flavor of religion shines a very dingy light upon the rotten core of your values.
Who cares what you think? Do you have any proof?
Unsolved Mysteries did a good episode on this way back in the 90s 👍
It’s remarkable that not only has the Bible been used to great extent by historians, it has also been proven correct in many cases where supposed intellectuals had previously mocked its inaccuracy. It is unfortunate that there are many people who continue to mock this despite their incredibly limited knowledge. Thousands of years of history and yet, apparently the commenters on this page are all “experts” in history, physics, engineering and a host of other disciplines who have unique knowledge of the subject and can prove it to be false. Just a little arrogant, wouldn’t you say? Sounds familiar. There are other videos available that cover Noah’s ark and I would encourage anyone to watch. It would be a shame for any “progressive” thinker to shut out the possibility that they may in fact be wrong.
You are a idiot.
Joseph Theis the Bible May have true accounts of history, but your God is not one of them. Your God claims are false, there is no such thing as a god.
JT...I understand fully, its you who fail to distinguish between fantasy inkstains and reality.. common sense alone should tell you the Ark myth is preposterous even without the undeniable evidence that proves beyond all doubt a world wide flood never happened..
Minor things? When did i talk about minor things?
Mick Healy wow. I can see that your superior thinking is useful because instead of trying to find reason or a possibility to connect, you choose instead to mock what you don’t understand.
IT IS ALL BULLSHIT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS NOAH ARK
He is not a brain washed brain ed dead fool like you .
HOPEFULLY YOUR MOTHER STARTED SWALLOWING RIGHT AFTER PUSHING YOU THRU HER FILTHY HOLE!!!!!!
Unicorns don't exist! And you know this because...? Because ALL evidence we have shows otherwise.
And you know this because...?
Stupid religion believers.
Noah’s ark is hidden by Santa Claus and the Easter bunny in neverneverland
Thank you so much for sharing
So many people here saying they don't believe this to them I ask you why did you even watch the video then
This is a documentary, not a movie...
Do you believe Harry Potter, or Star Wars are true before you go to the theater?
Because we can.
coffee 32 1-We want to know what the fools are up to. 2-Simple curiosity 3- It’s entertaining to see folks chasing their tails. Despite all the claims (which prove to be wildly exaggerated) no body has found a sliver of an Ark
I came here for the entertainment of all these ignorant god-believers. They say the dumbest shit !!!!
Pfft aliens built it
Antarctic ice cores alone destroy this myth completely..A quick read of prior myths, especially the Greek deluge, all three of them, it is easy to discern that the noah's ark myth is just a rewritten version of them, thats the best thing about inkstains and ignorance, the inkstains can be changed and the ignorance of each new generation is easily adapted to it as truth.. such is the tale of our bible, just a fanciful collection of altered myths. according to the solid proof of antarctic ice cores, the flood and noahs ark are just fanciful myth's written in ink on paper.. though common sense tells you as much without the proof, if it ever did happen it was a localised flood, it may have flooded THEIR small world, but not THE whole world.. ask a platypus..
Noah did exist, and so did the Ark! One day when Christ comes your eyes will be open. I will pray for all unbelievers, GOD Bless!
Wow you are delusion moron
Renesmae - PROVE IT.
Renesmae Sherman - how fucking sad and pathetic....
Renesmae Sherman see that makes me a little worried that you believe in the Noah story, is there no part of it that makes you think that it might not be true, even the bit about him being 500 years old? if you believe that then you might as well believe that Mohamed went up to heaven from Jerusalem on a winged horse! I’m not trying to be facetious by the way
According to both historians and the Bible, the Ark was built of reeds surrounding a woodn frame. the reeds would likely not have survived. also note that Ararat is not the highest mountain in the range. If the Ark came down on the first mountain out, it would have landed elsewhere.
Ha ha read a science book idiot.
There's a video on youtube that explores the technique of building the ark of reeds. a couple of marine engineers were examining the possibilities of building something that size. They seemed to think it was possible, altho' unlikely, because the keel required a piece of timber of a size not found in the region. In addition, the size is given in measurements that are subject to disagreement. The same terms mean different numbers in different cultures and eras.
a reed boat the size of 4 football fields, doesn't seem to realistic now does it.
Again, ancient shipbuilders used the same techniques. Still would of failed.
Probable translation error. There is no such thing as gopher wood. The reed boats of the time were covered in a locally made resin, which they still make, to waterproof the reeds. One of the names for it is "gopher". The boat was covered in gopher, which some translator assumed was wood. Modern versions list a reed boat covered in pitch.
The whole range is called the Ararat Mountains. The Bible says the ark came down in the Mountains of Ararat, not on Mount Ararat.
The bible is a load of shit. like your brain.
Ddub...in reality my assertion is correct..unless you can prove magic intervention was responsible, so how do you know it was really sent to Mr M by visions from God? and not just the memories from conversation's with jews and christians? you don't, inkstains tell you, yet more inkstains tell you it was from visions, thats all..I said take away magic and apply the same reality as what we inhabit ( the planet earth) and there is only one possibility. same applies to the mormons, they too had angels show up and instructions given by god, are those claims true as well? or is there a non magical explanation? ...inkstains of mens imagination.,., this was told to me by god by a vision and now I have said so in ink it makes it true.. people..they don't think much..
Not arguing that thats not true... simply arguing that your assertion of how the Qaran was written was just really fucking ignorant, making clear that you have neither read it or know really anything about it. Buit i guess you are one of those great people who have very strong opinions about things they know very little about... keep it up!
Dbub...It is the same, It controls your mind and renders you a willing TRACTABLE obedient slave for those who rule..they deceive us with koranic and biblical inkstains and promises in order to control us..the koran is no more true than any other religious book..in truth its all just mens imaginations set in ink on paper.
+Mick Healy lol.... you literally have no clue what is written in the Qaran. Do you really think that its similar to the Gospels about Christ.... because its not.
Fools gonna convince themselves of any nonsense they want to believe, especially when it involves religious crap.
Noah didn't exist.
You prove there is a god fool.
Your brain doesn't exist.
NEITHER DOES ANY ONE OF THE BLACK GUYS THAT FUCKED YOUR WHORE MOTHER TO PRODUCE YOUR DUMB ASS!!!
The Bible said it therefore I believe. It's a sin not to believe God's word. Shame on you for being so ignorant.
I don't believe you exist. I think you are just a bot deceiving people into believing you're a real guy. conclusion: You don't exist, you are not fooling anyone. :)
A question to all those who's out there searching for Noah's Ark. Why dont you ask God where it is?
Yes, Thank you. lay are idiots with a imaginary friend.
If you could just prove that, that would be lovely.
It's a silly question because the description of God has never included the notion that he/it was available to answer any and every question that a person decided to include in their prayers.
Again, science has shown definitively that there was never an ark at that location in Turkey, did you read the article i posted?
And? There is a Noahs Ark build in America isn't there? Why can't the ark be there?
REX GEISSLER IS JUST A KID WITH NO DEGREES , WHY WOULD YOU EVEN INTERVIEW HIM? HIS OPINION IS WORTHLESS AS TITS ON A BOER HOG .
That...doesn't make any sense..
is your tiny screen to small to see it
MUCH BEFORE CAP LOCKS TOOOOO....bloody hell.. the arks a myth, grow up..
ASK A GROWN UP , IT IS AN OLD SAYING MUCH BEFORE YOUR GENERATION .
One of the many hoaxes perpetuated by the blind
Why is the History Channel showing shows about Noah's ark? It's not historic, it's fantasy. There was no ark or world wide flood.
Nig He's not arguing for anything. He's trolling.
I'll wait here patiently for your argument for the flood.
Because you've been presenting arguments. Take some of your own advice.
Keep trying. Maybe take a course on logical argument.
The SLIGHTEST bit of research disproves the flood myth, use that brain of yours. As for a ship 4 football stadiums long made out of wood that took 81 years to build, it would of started rotting after 4 years. If it somehow didn't rot, IT WOULDN'T OF SAILED.
Loved In Search of History and History’s Mysteries. My favorite shows from the old days of History Channel.
Glad you liked you liked it Chris!
Noah’s ark hmmmmm the explanation of kangaroos getting to Australia via land bridges etc just proves the story is utter bollocks
+moorek1967 You are a delusion idiot.
+moorek1967 Let's look logically for a moment.? If you believe in the bible you are not to smart because there is no proof of any think that is in the bible. its all a load of shit like your brain.
Moorek: Evolution is a scientifically proven fact, religion is not. There are many fossils believed to be on the evolutionary path of the kangaroo, and the plate tectonics of why Australian flora and fauna are so different are understood by the appropriate experts in those fields. Basically your whole argument is a logical fallacy called an argument from ignorance, or in this case, a related fallacy, an argument from personal incredulity. Among other things, there's no reason to assume evolution occurs at the same rate in different areas, and, according to evolutionary theory, a unique biosphere, would more likely result in unique evolutionary examples. The advent of life, abiogenesis, or the arrival of your one-celled organism is believed to have occurred near geothermal vents, 3.5 billion years ago. Australia is believed to have broken off from Antarctica about 96 million years ago. Kangaroos had 96 million years to evolve away from from anything which might be related on another continent. It is interesting to note, that there are examples of non-Australian, non-marsupial mammals, which have evolved to have a "kangaroo's legs", as it were, because the form is advantageous and efficient for long distance travel. The precursors to life, amino acids and other chemicals, have been found to exist in the cosmos. Where and why it happened here is not known. (But 'science' is OK with not knowing, because evidence does not exist to say further, OR to say...well, God!) Yes, DNA is information, but it is natural information, organically derived. There is no evidence it was 'caused' or created, but it did take millions of years to go from one cell to multiple. The first evidences of life come at that 3.5 billion year mark, while multi celled organisms don't appear until around 600 million YPB. Your "god' argument is so full of logistical holes, but I don't have the time to pick it apart. Suffice to say, that you discuss God as having "audio energy" which conforms to the "Laws of Thermodynamics", while describing an entity which you also claims is "apart from the natural". Wait...what? 'He' either is subject to natural laws, or 'he' isn't, you can't have it both ways! And if he IS subject to the natural laws, he doesn't exist. Because there's no evidence, and no mechanism within nature to have a god exist. If 'he' isn't subject to the natural laws, then he still doesn't exist. Because we have no evidence or examples of what, if anything, COULD exist outside of nature. P.S. While there are example of separated twins having similar lives, there's never been a documented example of twins feeling what the other is going through. That's an urban myth, and same with the mother's and their children. It's anecdotal, coincidence, and backwards application. With the mother's and children example, there are thousands of times 'bad feelings' have resulted in nothing, but the one time a 'horrible intuition' was verified, it gets remembered.
check out the riversleigh formations
LOL If there was an ark in the ice cap, it would have eventually slid down the mountain side long ago. Just more fantasy like all religion.
Actually, in it's defense, the Bible has a lot of truth contained inside. It describes people who lived, places which existed and events which did occur. It's just that not every story is so, the details of some (most) have been embellished, and nothing of that makes the supernatural elements any easier to prove. For instance, it appears that something like the Biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah actually existed, about where they were supposed to be. It looks like they were destroyed at one point and not rebuilt. There's even evidence of geological conditions and minerals present, which could give credence to the "fire and brimstone" elements of the Biblical description. But there is nothing to show evidence of divine intervention, in fact, the evidence gives a reasonably mundane cause, liquefaction of unconsolidated soils and the burning of naturally occurring asphalt and sulfur. In the case of an ark on a mountain in Turkey, it is the supposed 'actual boat' which would be fantasy, and the tale possibly true, albeit with much less grand specifics. A tribal leader who saves his family and a few sheep from a flooding of the local river with a hastily built raft, becomes the hero of a 'chosen people', who saved the entire biosphere from a deluge, after a few generations of telling. Disregarding the multiple problems which plague the ark story (physics, logistics, geology, biology, genetics, etc.) as a Biblical account, it is just physically impossible for any boat to have gotten up that far up a mountain. There basically isn't enough water to have covered the planet to that level. IF, a big IF, there is anything up there, it's a hoax, or it's not a boat.
Yea, um a "snowflake" in the urban dictionary sense, means someone who considers themselves "unique and special". Someone who is easily offended and needs a special place to feel safe and away from the harsh realities of the world as it really is. That's basically the description of religious people. 'God's' chosen, and operating on a system of belief which does not reflect reality. Further, so knee-jerk in your reaction to criticism of your myths, that adherents feel a need to chime in and bless OR curse the critical thinkers who point out the illogical nature of your religion. Not so much of a comeback, as an insight on the commenter.
Renesmae Sherman ~ Just had to say I loved your comeback to Mr. Snowflake...goodness I'm still giggling haha!

Read the account of Noah again, and this time, read it all.
Have , its a load of shit.
The Lenawee Trekker - Harry Potter is just as real, and a much better story....
It rained for forty days and forty nights. No, wait, it rained for 150 days. There were two of each animal. No, wait, there were seven pairs of the clean animals and two pairs of the unclean animals. And so on. People claim this is true only if they haven't actually read it.
